Upcoming Series: Teen Tutorials

(teen emily:)

Hi everyone! I've been at the dentist this afternoon and the right side of my face is quite numb. So I'm going to be blogging instead of shooting a video today- I still sound a little funny when I talk! :) Guess what? Tomorrow's Friday! woohoo!

Lately I've been getting a lot of requests for teen makeup- lots of school looks, looks for dances/formals, cheerleading (i was one, hehe), dates, etc. I think it's a really good idea and I'm going to be shooting some "Teen Tutorials" soon for my YouTube channel. I would like everyone know that just becuase they're geared toward teens- I hope even those of you in the working world (like me) will take note and see that they'll truly be wearable looks for everyone. Key word: WEARABLE. I'll continue to incorporate colorful looks into other videos- but if it's in this series it will be stuff that would generally be seen as "school appropriate." Also- since many teens are just getting started with makeup- I won't just show you eyes- I'll demonstrate how to do the whole face too :D who's excited!? I am.

Since I'll be shooting these videos very soon- I'm browsing around for some ideas. I'd also like any ideas you guys have. Any particular things you'd like demonstrated? Any certain products you'd like me to use? Any products you'd really like left OUT of Teen Tutorials? Please provide your input- these videos are for you!

Thought you might find this interesting/humorous... some teen pics of me that might provide me with some inspiration for this series :D

Have a great day!

♥Emily

  4. I cannot wait to see these. I am a teenager and I usually don't wear make-up because I don't know how to apply it the right way. Thanks Emily

  5. I love the pictures! When I was a teen, it was all about Cover Girl, because I was broke and they had fun colors :). I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I love looks that are fun, yet wearable for any age :).

  6. That's a great idea. I'm not a teen anymore, but I'm still looking forward to that series because I love all your videos. Maybe you could do like a look using only e.l.f. products, since teens are usually on a tighter budget?? Just a thought.

  8. What a neat idea! I look forward to it. I know when I was a teen I would get Wet and Wild products and NYC and also CG. Wet and Wild new eyeshadow palettes are really pigmented and affordable so maybe use those? I am 31 and discovered them not long ago lol I'm loving them. I also would get Avon and Mary Kay through my mom...lol fun times...
Can't wait here either! thanks Emily.
