No Makeup Days...

On days when you don't wear makeup- is that your fear? That some person (or some cat, haha) will see you and think, wow, she needs to put on some makeup. I'll admit, I rarely go out without makeup on (I pretty much always wear at least a little). Part of it is the expectation people have when they see you on TV looking a certain way... and when you're not on TV you don't want them to be "let down"? (not sure if that's the right choice of words, but oh well). Also, I just enjoy the process of putting makeup on! It's like a hobby for me so I actually like taking the time to do it. Furthermore- I just feel more confidence in general when I know I'm looking my best.

What are your reasons for putting on makeup everyday? Does your job require it? Does it make you feel good? Are you trying to impress someone? Please share your thoughts!

The weekend is near!

  1. I put makeup usually for myself. Sometimes it's to impress, but usually I just feel weird without something on, or dear god, someone sees and recognizes me without makeup

Haha, that was so superficial :p

  2. I like putting make up on when I go out, even if I only go to a nearby supermarket. I think it's such a stress release playing with make up. I can spend two hours and after that I feel so much happier...

I do not feel inferior without make up, I did go out in public approximately two weeks (almost every day) without make up..that was after I got a severe allergic reaction on my face, I felt good with my bare face, but the feeling of putting make up is for me like the feeling on a little girl got a new barbie doll!

    hahaha.... =)

  4. i put on makeup because i LOVE it! its also a hobby of mine! i love experimenting with anything and everything makeup wise!! but i do have to say that i also put it on because i feel like i dont look good without it... i have lots of redness on my cheeks and some acne so if i dont cover it up it isnt too attractive... i dont have it as bad as some do though, but i still like to at least have a dusting of some kind of powder or a light application of foundation if i am going to go somewhere.. it just makes me feel better about my appearance... plus it makes me feel better when i do it so why not do it all the time!!!!

  6. What are your reasons for putting on makeup everyday? I put it on because I like to, but also to look alittle fresher.
Does your job require it? Since I’m a stay at home Mom I’m not required to wear it :)
Does it make you feel good? Yes, if it turns out to look nice, if I mess it up by applying wrong then no.
Are you trying to impress someone? Hey my husband and others close to me have seen me without, so no, I don’t worry about impressing others, it’s whats inside that really counts anyway, I just wear makeup because I like to.

  9. On days I don't wear makeup, I'm sort of like "hmm ... I look okay I guess" - but I wouldn't really care about what people on the street thinks, natural beauty is just fine.
I put on makeup b/c it enhances my features and makes me look slightly healthier (blush anyway)
I'm a student so I don't have a job, and of course I'm not required to wear makeup
It makes me feel more confident
Eh, not impress, but I'd like to look nice when they see me

  11. I don't think I could leave my house without makeup on! If I don't have my makeup on I feel so different and feel like everyone is staring at me. I'm a stay at home mom at the moment so I usually don't wear makeup unless I'm out doing things. I always wonder what my husband thinks when I have no makeup on. He always says I look beautiful even when I know I look absolutely horrible!

I love sitting down and putting makeup on. It always makes me feel better! :)

  12. I don't really wear makeup, unless I'm going out to an event. I would much rather spend the extra time in the morning in bed.

And just putting on a little mascara makes a difference and people notice, even without much effort. And clear skin is easier to keep. :)

  13. i put makeup on when I am going to work because I feel like I look my professional and people will take me more seriously. But during my college years the majority of the time I went with out make up because I was either letting my skin rest or I was just too lazy.

  14. I put on makeup because not only does it make me feel better about myself it's a fun activity to do. I enjoy picking out colors and spending time trying out different looks. My mother never wore makeup nor owned a single product, so it has been fun for me to explore makeup on my own.

  15. I definetly do it because i love it and it makes me feel good! Different colors and looks are so much fun. Its more of a hobbie really. I do go out without it sometimes... but only when i run errands lol

  16. I just really like putting makeup on. It's a soothing process, and I feel really gross if I don't at least have foundation on. My skin feels vulnerable without it.

  17. putting makeup on is fun! However, I'm a student so I only put on makeup if I wake up early with time to spare (and even then I just put on a little bit of eyeshadow and mascara)

  18. I didn't use to wear make up at all until recently. Now though, it's such a part of my morning routine that I do put some even if it's just moisturizer and like a little blush or something.

  19. Leaving the house is no problem for me without a stitch of makeup.. i can take it or leave it.
i can smear it on w/a putty knife or scrub it completely off and leave w/nothing but a barrier (a balm or some sort of moisture..) guess im allergic to environmental pollution-if i don't wear SOMETHING i will hive ):

I do believe i was about 17 .. it was the first day at University and there was a yuppy-type (exceptionally young) hitting on me and it wasn't until i got my photo id that i realized OMG i had NO makeup on and was totally confident etc.
and IT DIDN'T MATTER ONE IOTA
    not one bit.
made NO difference in the way people perceived me nothing.

So since then, i can take it or leave it no matter what the function :) YEA.

  20. It makes me feel way better, even fisicly, i guess massaging my face while applying all those products helps me feel like its less puffy, Everything goes better on days when I wear make up. people respond better to me. Unfortunately, i have a 1y/o baby so there are many days when i dont get arount to doing my hair or make up, for now

  21. I mean i love make up its a hobby and i want to go out, but just going to like the grocery story i dont really need it, and when ur low on money i dont like using my make up for no reason i mean if i just playing around one day fine but since im a stay at home mom and always doing something it doesnt really bother me.

  23. Couple of reasons in the order of:
    > I love to play with colours
    > If i'm not wearing even lipgloss, I feel bare!
    > Makeup enhances your natural beauty, why leave it out??
