FOTD: Subtle Spring Lilac

Hey everyone! Hope you've all had a great weekend. Things have been a bit busy with me- dealing with our house hunt (found one we want!), Tyler got a new truck, work, plus I'm trying to get over this cold! I am starting to feel better though. But all of this hasn't allowed tons of time for tutorials! It's like whenever I'm getting ready, I'm in a rush! Don't worry- I will find time to fit in some more tutorials soon! But for now- a "Face of the Day"! Also- check out my latest Shopping List Ideas video!

This "Subtle Spring Lilac" look is really easy & natural. If you have products similar to the ones I mention here, feel free to use those to achieve a similar look- they don't have to be exactly the same. This look is definitely appropriate for daytime, and if you wanted to kick it up for night, just incorporate a darker plum or black shadow in the crease/outer V for some added drama. It could also be paired with a slightly darker lip! :)

  • Revlon PhotoReady Foundation in Natural Beige
  • Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer in Cream (Light 4-5)
  • Revlon PhotoReady Powder in Light/Medium
  • Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sun Light
  • CoverGirl Cheekers Blush in Golden Pink
  • Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush in Living Doll
  • Bourjois Paris Survolteel Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow- use this lilac shade as a base
  • Revlon Colorstay Eyeshadow Quad in Wildflower- use lilac shade all over the lid, the taupe shade in the crease, and the light yellow shade as a brow-bone highlight
  • L'oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense liquid liner- slightly winged out on upper lashline
  • Avon Smooth Minerals eyeliner in Iris on the outer portion of the lower lashline- blended up to the liquid liner
  • Rimmel Soft Kohl Kajal eye pencil in Loveable Lilac- on the inner half of the lower lashline- set it with the lilac Revlon shadow
  • Rimmel The Max Volume Flash mascara in Extreme Black- apply to upper & lower lashes
  • Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Dreamy
  • Jordana Easyliner for Lips in Rock n' Rose to add definition to lips
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, and I hope you all have a great week! Don't forget, you're more than welcome to join the Beauty Broadcast Facebook Page and follow me on Twitter for the latest updates on new videos and additional beauty info! :)

  6. Hi Emily! I watch all of your videos and I love them! I love you and Tyler! I was going to ask you on YouTube whether or not you could make a LOTD or tutorial with cruelty-free products, but didn't know if you would catch my comment because there are so many! So I thought I would ask you here :)

  12. You're lucky b/c you have brown eyes, so you can wear any color eye shadow. I have blue eyes, so that would make me look like a prostitute...

  16. Why do people keep saying Photoready is too shimmery? Your face looks amazing with it on! Great look.

PS. Just started following you. I love your YT videos, and your video on how to magnetize coastal scents hot pots was so helpful, because I just did that to my own hotpots, and it works great!
