My mom is in her 60's, and with her life experience, she can definitely answer some questions that I can't when it comes to makeup, or just life in general! She was also a cosmetologist (more on the business she was in with her sister in another video!), so she has some background in beauty. It's a common interest we share, and while my mom is a little hesitant about being on camera, I think she has tons to offer.
Recently on the Beauty Broadcast Facebook page, I asked what sorts of videos you'd like to see with my mom. We'll try to shoot some whenever we get together. - Happy Valentine's Day! Fun Fact: today marks 10 years since Tyler & I started dating!
- We ate a late lunch at O'Charley's today due to my early bedtime. I got grilled shrimp & sweet potato fries :)
- I'm a firm believer that if you don't have a traditional "valentine", friends and family can be some of the dearest valentines around.
- I am so grateful to those who spend time reading my blogs & watching my videos. It's really unbelievable when you start thinking about it.
- Cupcake was especially "chatty" today. It's as if she was telling me exactly what type of food she wanted in her dish.
- Keurig coffee maker came in HUGE for fixing hot chocolate & coffee for Mom & Dad while they were visiting.
- Someone mentioned in the comments section of a recent video that I've looked tired lately. Well honey, I am tired.
- Daily Nuggets is extra long today... I think it's therapeutic :)

Happy Valentines Day, I have been so inspired by you! I am a cosmetologist, like your mom and have makeup training. I have started makeup workshops for my clients the first one is 2/20. Emily, I love seeing mature women who are elegant, self assured and are willing to pass down their 'beauty secrets'.... talk about the proof is in the pudding. Emily, I am wondering about eyebrow pencils. I quickly looked through your videos and did not see anything specifically. Would love some cheap/best recommends for a blond with slightly darker brows. LOVE your brows, recently, by the way. They look really good a bit thicker with a straight inner edge.

I'd love to see more videos of you and your mom. I'm 55 and can't wear alot of the types of makeup I wore in my 20's. I would love to hear your mom's take on skincare and makeup applications tips. One of my issues "creapy eyelids", I'd like to see this talked about.
Congrats on 10 years! Last Friday (Feb 11) was my hubby & I's 11 year anniversary since we started dating! We've been married for about 5 1/2 years but we still celebrate our dating anniversary just to be "hokey". lol
I echo what another commenter said. I'm 55 and just can't do the shiny eye makeup. (Plus, I work in the legal field, and things are more conservative there.) I would love to see your recommendations for a pretty, natural matte palette.

Oh, I hate it when someone tells me I look tired! Honestly Emily, whenever I see you on video, I'm too busy thinking about how pretty you are to notice if you're looking tired.
That early-morning shift can be a killer sometimes. It's hard to stick to your early-to-bed routine when life is still wide awake all around you.
Great job with your mom...she is so lovely. Her HAIR is absolutely gorgeous...she could really do a hair commercial!
