  8. Have you tried the water nail swirl design? It is on pinterest and you use water and drop bits of nail color into the water and run your hands thru it.

  11. Emily, what colour are you in the Revlon Colour Stay foundation? The reason why I'm asking is that I've noticed that most of the things that match your skin tone seem to match mine as well.

  12. Thanks so much for your recommendations Emily, I've been using the revlon photo ready concealer ever since you first reviewed it and it is the best I've tried, and I've tried a lot including mac and bobbie brown. You are the best Guru on youtube by miles.

Just wanted to say, Cherry culture is having a big sale right now through 1/24. They carry Milani (guess they watch the Emily Awards too!). From the comments I've been reading and the anticipation I've been noticing I would say the cosmetics industry is in for a SURGE in the next few weeks while all of us Emily devotees shop the awards list!

  14. A high end pressed powder/powder foundation that I love and think you might like to try (if you haven't yet that is) is the Mac Studio Fix powder! It's matte but it doesn't make my dry skin look dry. :) Thanks for all your insight and dedication!

  19. After seeing you rave repeatedly about the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Light, I finally tried it. I've been anxious about bronzers and worried they'd make me look like an oompa-loompa.

Even though I am a shade or two lighter than you are in a foundation, I am in LOVE with this bronzer! It looks very natural! I also greatly appreciate that it doesn't contain any shimmer, as I find that shimmer highlights any fine lines/wrinkles (not something you need to worry over for a few more years at least, but a worry for me).

And thanks for pointing out which of these products also work well for you lovely Mom! I find that most YouTube beauty broadcasts feature products that look nice on young skin and often neglect to mention what works well on more mature skin (say around 40 and older). It's extremely helpful to learn which products work well on older skin, or perhaps even drier skin for a younger woman. Please continue to let us know which products your Mom also finds to work well for her as I find that to be IMMENSELY valuable information!

  20. I absolutely love your videos Emily! I can tell that you and I think very much alike. I am forever trialing and comparing new products both high end and drugstore and making recommendations for friends so thank you for doing the guess work for me lol. I had a couple suggestions for you. Have you ever tried using the ELF HD powder to blend out your crease color? I find it does not control my very oily skin well enough to use as a setting powder but it does blend out and soften my shadow colors FABULOUSLY! This alone is worth the purchase for me. I also recommend you trial neostrata oil free matifying fluid under your foundation and once your look is complete lightly dab Mary Kay Mattifier with a cosmetic wedge to oil prone areas. I like to think I've mastered the art of combating excessively oily skin by doing this and using oil absorber sheets thus decreasing the need for a ridiculous amount of powder :) Works for me anyways!

FYI I also use Revlon colorstay (HG) and as odd as it sounds I find that the normal/dry version applies and controls my oil better than the oily/combo one does. Who knew!!

  22. Hi Em!
    Love your blog and channel!

I have been looking for a compact mineral powder without parabens, silicones bismush, talc and other crazy things but I have no luck with finding one.

I using one loose by tikei.se and I really like it but it's too messy to have in a purse.

So I thought that maybe you or some of your readers may know what I'm looking for.

And because I live in Sweden I need to find it in a place that can ship it here.

Thank you for all your helpfull videos!
