Spring Sephora Wishlist

Hey friends! I was browsing the Sephora website, which I haven't done in awhile and there aren't any Sephoras within an hour and a half of where I live... so I of course stumbled upon a lot of interesting products I hadn't seen before! Nothing that I've ventured to purchase yet- but just some new things that I'd really like to try. When you're not hauling... why not make a wishlist, right? :) I thought this post might generate some discussion on these new things... have you tried them? Do you want to? Why or why not? Here's a look at the products that had me doing a double take...

Better than false lashes? This claim is so unbelievable... but part of me still wants to see if it's possible. Click for more info.

I already know I love this lip balm formula (it was a high end winner for the Emily Awards 2011- Best High End Lip Balm)... and I can only imagine how much I'd love it in coral. Click for more info.

I've been getting lots of tweets & Facebook questions about this one. On the fence about trying it, but it does seem rather innovative. Click for more info.

I don't need another neutral palette... I don't need another neutral palette...
This isn't brand new... but after trying this scent in the QVC Beauty Test Tube I know I LOVE IT... and want more. Amazing spring scent & I love the body wash too. Click for more info.

Daily Nuggets...
  • I'm getting the tell-tale pre-cold sore throat. Ugh.
  • Tyler & I are planning a new vlog to shoot!
  • Cupcake has been bouncing between being super sweet & acting out since we've come home from our little trip.
  • I was dressed by Dave the clown today on the morning show... see my FOTD.

  1. I bought that Too Faced mascara and it arrived today! Can't wait to see how it works! :D

  2. I live within 30 minutes of 4 Sephoras, but I always order online. Their selection on the web is ten times better than their selection in the stores, and I don't have to worry about being accosted by the employees (they can be nice, but four approaches in one visit is just too much for me)

  3. Emily, I just did a little first impressions video on the new Benefit foundation if you want to see! :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKfa4e7TRUY

  4. Two things, you DO need another neutral Palette. I have the Lorac Unzipped palette and I love it, has the perfect combination of mattes and shimmers and oh so beautiful for brown/green eyes! Also, tried the Benefit Oxygen Wow foundation and it made my combination skin very oily! I blotted like a mad-woman yesterday and usually if I do blot, it's once near the end of the day. Use at your own risk, I think it may have caused a reaction too but can't say it was the foundation for sure as I used a few new(er) things. Lastly, it's fairly yellow toned but does have a nice finish and light coverage.

  5. I want to try the Fresh Sugar Coral Lip Treatment so bad!!! I've never tried anything from that line. Think I'm gonna hold off on spending my money though and try it when I get my B-Day gift from Sephora!

  6. Hi, Em, just wanted to make sure you knew Sephora has 15% off starting later this week. Good time to haul if you were planning to anytime soon. I have details in my blog http://discerningpalettes.blogspot.com/

  7. I live nearby a bunch of Sephoras, and I always order online too. I'll go into the store, try out things I'm interested in, get samples, then leave. I mostly do this because of the better online extras, and Ebates. If you ladies don't know, Ebates is a service where you get cash back for shopping online. Totally revolutionized by online shopping. Sephora is usually 4% cash back, but a few times a year it'll double to 8%, which is actually happening today!

  8. The mascara - hmm. I've had bad to meh experiences with fiber mascaras, but I'm loving Too Faced lately, so maybe they've actually pulled it off!

I'm sure the Sugar balm would be gorgeous!

You don't NEED another neutral palette, but one vlogger I watch (TheRaeRae1971) thinks it's the best one out there, and that's got me all "dang, now I want it", LOL. So if YOU get it and love it, too, I'm a goner. I buy a lot of stuff on your recommendation, and I've never been disappointed - that's because you're so clear and detailed that I can tell if something you like will work for me or not. :)

That said, could it possibly beat the Nude Tude palette you just reviewed? That thing is awesome!

  9. Hi Emily, could share a link to the QVC Beauty Test Tube? I love QVC and I can not find this product anywhere.

    Thanks Gwyn

  11. I can't wait to try the too faced mascara. I think I will purchase it at the military exchange here, so it is tax free and cheaper, so I won't feel guilty if I hate it.

  13. Poor CupCake, we found out our cat had an anxiety disorder which seem common amoung cats-Seperation Anxiety (maybe dogs too?) Like there scared you wont come back for them. Our cat was good for the neighbor who checked on him, but when we came back, every time we left for like say dinner he would poop at the door...

  14. I have the Benefit foundation and like it. Do I love it? No. I do love the new Chanel Aqua Compact. Am I the only one who constantly has to change her foundation up? It seems that what looks good one day, just doesn't work as well on another day.

  17. Great wishlist! I got a sample of that Benefit foundation last week and tried it.....NOT impressed! It is so thin and didn't cover anything (for me)....it does seem to have a greasy/oily type of feel to it too - some people seem to love it though.... :o}

  18. I've seen that philosophy field of flowers in to maxx, but it was maybe a month ago I last saw it. I would check there or Marshall's before buying it at sephora.

  19. Ha, I have the same things on my list! The Too Faced mascara kit and the Fresh Coral color. I will be at Sephora to pick that up on Thursday (helllloooo 15% off!), as well as a Laura Mercier caviar eye shadow stick and the Origins Vitazing moisturizer.

  20. Re your cold, one thing I learned from a TV news doctor (Dr. Dean Edell) that's worked for me over the years is as soon as you feel that sore throat coming on, to steam yourself (with the towel over your head bent over a pan of very hot water) for no less than 20 minutes, breathing deeply). It really works. The only inconvenient thing is you have to do it as soon as you feel it coming on. If you're in bed and wait until morning, it's probably going to be too late. It's safe and effective! Hope you feel better soon :)

  37. I have to say, the Lorac Unzipped is unlike any other neutral palette I own. So much better than Naked 1 or 2, and I've used all three.

  39. Hey, Emily!! Have been watching your videos, so this is my first time to visit your blog. Love your videos by the way!! Have you ever considered reviewing Avon makeup products? I sell Avon, so I was just curious as to whether or not you would do that. You may have reviewed Avon in the past before, and I just haven't seen those particular videos. Just curious. Thanks for your time.
