Spring Sephora Wishlist

Hey friends! I was browsing the Sephora website, which I haven't done in awhile and there aren't any Sephoras within an hour and a half of where I live... so I of course stumbled upon a lot of interesting products I hadn't seen before! Nothing that I've ventured to purchase yet- but just some new things that I'd really like to try. When you're not hauling... why not make a wishlist, right? :) I thought this post might generate some discussion on these new things... have you tried them? Do you want to? Why or why not? Better than false lashes? This claim is so unbelievable... but part of me still wants to see if it's possible. Click for more info.

I already know I love this lip balm formula (it was a high end winner for the Emily Awards 2011- Best High End Lip Balm)... and I can only imagine how much I'd love it in coral. Click for more info.

Daily Nuggets...

• The month of March has been an unexpected whirlwind. Not trying to make excuses for the lack of blogging, but it's seriously been BUSY.
• Tyler and I flew to North Dakota over the weekend for a funeral for his grandma on his mom's side of the family. It was quite an emotional gathering. She was a very strong woman who managed to raise 5 girls on her own, for the most part. Wish I could have spent more time with her over the years. On top of her deeper qualities, she always struck me as such a put-together lady- always in a nice outfit & jewelry with hair & makeup done.
• Just curious- any Beauty Broadcast viewers from Powers Lake, North Dakota? That's where his grandma was from & where we spent most of our time. It's a very small community in the northwest part of the state.
• My sister Kelly has an art show this weekend in Jacksonville, Illinois! Click the link for details- I'm going on Saturday to hear her talk at 6:30pm! Definitely come see it if you're in the area! It's gonna be awesome!!!

There's a New Vlog in Town!

Hey everyone! The announcement I eluded to a few days ago is now here! :) I've started a second channel! It's called Beauty Vlogcast and it'll be all about random, non-beauty related stuff! Beauty Broadcast will continue, but this is just an addition to it! I'm very excited to share other tidbits of my life with you... and you'll see a lot more of Tyler, Cupcake, family, and friends! :) Thanks so much for the outpouring of support... the channel hasn't even been up for 12 hours yet, and the kindness is so encouraging! Look of the Day: Gold & Peach!

Hey everyone! I have this cool app on my iphone called Photo Collage and I couldn't help but play around with it during some spare moments on the news set this morning! I thought it'd be a fun way to do "Outfit of the Day" type posts. I felt kinda strange just taking a pic of my top half to show my jewelry LOL... but if you like this kind of thing, let me know and I'll do more!

I tried to incorporate peach & gold in my outfit, and sort of bring out some peach in my makeup too. My eyes appear a little more heavily shadowed in the crease here than they really are... but I have a soft pop of peachy/coral on the lids and I'm LOVING that. I recently rearranged my Coastal Scents Hot Pots eyeshadow singles in my Z-palette so that's what I used shadow-wise for this look. Here are all the details!

Outfit...

• Peach tank layered under a white cardigan. I believe the tank came from Wal-Mart years ago, and the cardigan is from Target.
• The necklace has varying textures of flat gold ovals & I doubled it... it's from a company called Premier Designs (they do in-home jewelry parties). I'm also wearing some medium-sized gold studs. (Disregard the black microphone LOL)
• You can't see my pants here, but they're a super dark denim trouser jean (a little more dressy than typical jeans). My shoes were a steal... ended up getting then for $1 along with another pair of sale shoes from shoe carnival. They have a shiny golden/nude finish and a small heel.
• Toes happened to sort of match the look! Wet n Wild Mega Last in Club Havana- a creamy orange.
