Greetings blog buddies!! :)
Happy Friday to you! In an effort to get more use out of the various things in my makeup collection, I thought I'd "Shop My Stash" today and pull out some forgotten or rarely used items. It's a great way to make old things feel new again... plus it doesn't cost you anything! So here are the things I threw in my basket.
-ELF Maximum Coverage Concealer in Sand... I've used this product on & off, but not enough to form a solid opinion on how well it works. So I aim to change that in the coming week!
-Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Spot Eraser... I blame my drawer. It swallowed this one up and I totally forgot about it. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess. I need to use this consistently so I can tell if it's truly treating and improving dark spots.
-Milani Bronze XL All Over Glow in Radiant Tan... This is a fairly new product that was sent to me for review and I want to remember to use it. If you look closely, you can tell this is a split pan compact- so there are 2 shades of bronzer in there. Both have just a little shimmer and are pretty light.
-ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Cream in St. Lucia... LOVE this product! Especially with my ELF Small Stipple Brush! I just tend to reach for the powder version more (I think I've gone through 2 of them), but I need to be using this too.
-NYX Nude on Nude Palette... I guess this is technically a lip product too :) But look at how pretty those neutrals are! Why am I not reaching for this more?!?
-Milani Powder Eyeshadow in Just Perfect... These Milani singles are AMAZING. I have a full video review on them. They're big, intensely pigmented, and this shade is a stunning teal. Might be a fun pop alongside some of those NYX neutrals.
-L'oreal Colour Riche Le Gloss in Saucy Mauve (left) & Raspberry Splash (right)... I really love these glosses and don't know why I haven't used them in so long. Clearly I've used them enough to wear off the labels, and they're probably not too far off from being used up. Both shades are lovely and they feel super comfortable on the lips. They are just a squeeze-tube style. Really great drugstore glosses!
-NYX Round Lipstick in Tea Rose... I have more than a few Round lipsticks I should be using, but this one just really caught my eye. It's a nice creamy rose that doesn't stray too far from my natural lip color.
Do you like to shop your stash? Let me know if you'd like to see more posts like this! And maybe on the next Beauty Broadcast Live I can re-cap how these things have been working.
Something new! Each Friday on Twitter & Facebook I'm going to ask a "Fill in the Blank" question. Today's was: You know you're obsessed with makeup when...
@albeefranson 's makeup-filled pantry! LOVE.
Thank to the hundreds who made Tweets and Facebook posts filling in the blank! I was literally laughing out loud and nodding in agreement with your feedback! Hey, at least we can all admit that we have a problem, right? :) Have a great weekend!
- New Stuff I Love video is up on the vlog channel!
- Spent a very long time browsing the MaskCara beauty blog last night- love it!
- I want to see The Great Gatsby this weekend.
- Was driving through a parking lot with my window down and an elderly lady nearby yelled "watch out!" at me. I wasn't going fast or remotely close to hitting her or anything else... still confused. Guess I'll take her warning and just "watch out" in general.
- I can't stand when people eat with their mouth open or make a smacking noise with their mouth when they eat... but somehow when Cupcake makes that noise, I think it's cute.
- It's thundering out. You guessed it-- the Cake is on alert!
