Hope your week is off to a good start! Just wanted to share with you some things I picked up from Bath & Body Works! With the exception of the hand sanitizers, it's home-related stuff... not so much bath and shower stuff. As I said on Beauty Broadcast Live recently, I have tons of shower stuff to use up so I kept myself from getting those sorts of things! But if you haven't been to B&BW lately, I thought you might be interested to see some of the new scents that are coming out. I can't believe I'm already seeing the fall stuff, but the lady there said even more pumpkin-related scents would be coming in a few weeks! The 20% coupon she gave me (for Sept. 9- Oct. 6) mentions some scents like Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Blueberry Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Cupcake.... looking forward to those!
In case you're not familiar, Wallflowers are little glass jars of scented oil that twist into a Wallflower diffuser (which goes into your outlet), and they fill your room with great scents. Pretty much anytime someone comes to our house, they mention that it smells good... I have a Wallflower in the entry way ;) and now I don't want to disappoint! Anyway, the deal on Wallflowers is six for $24 - I got a mix of some summertime scents and a few of the new fall ones that I saw (I believe the last three are fall scents). I'm just not quite ready to make the entire house smell like pumpkin spice :) You can click the picture to enlarge, but the scents I got are Strawberry Picnic, Lakeside, Watermelon Lemonade, Heirloom Pear, Farmstand Apple, and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin. Besides the pumpkin one, these are all new to me! But judging by the scent of the coordinating candles, these all seem SO good! Watermelon Lemonade didn't have a scent to test... but just looking at the name, I think it'll be right up my alley.
I'm still working through some triple-wick and Better Homes & Gardens candles at my house, so I didn't go crazy with new candles... however these super cute mason jar candles caught my eye. They were 2 for $15 and are actually a pretty decent-sized candle (label says it burns approx. 30-40 hours). I got Harvest Coffee and Marshmallow Fireside. I LOVE the idea of a coffee-scented candle. This is described as a "rich, robust blend of coffee beans topped off by creamy vanilla foam." I like that you can definitely pick up on the coffee scent, but it's not too overpowering, and a little bit sweet. Marshmallow Fireside is one of my favorite scents!! I just found this one randomly in the store with no others around it... so glad I did! My larger candle in this scent makes even large rooms in my house smell awesome. It's described as a "warm blend of toasted marshmallows, smoldering woods, and creamy vanilla."
These PocetBac hand sanitizers are 5 for $5, and I went with the new fall-type scents...they are Aspen Autumn Day, Heartland Harvest Marmalade, Georgia Bourbon Peach, Sonoma Vineyard Berries, and Montana Mountain Air. The only one I've used so far is the Bourbon Peach and I love it!! Fruity with a little twang ;) At first whiff, I think I'm going to like the others too, but it's hard to tell exactly what they smell like until you actually put them on your hands- otherwise the scent out of the bottle is a bit too strong to tell.
Have you been shopping at B&BW recently? What scents are you loving? Thanks for stopping by the blog!!
- Thanks for the great response to the "YouTube Made Me Buy It" video! I'm so glad you're enjoying it and I hope others will make it as well. KristinGehm & 83Pavs were the first people I watched do it! :) I linked to their videos in the info box of mine, if you want to check them out!
- Tyler & I were looking for something to watch on Netflix last night and ended up browsing the "Classics"... he had never seen Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, so we watched that and both went to bed a little freaked out.
- Do you ever sit in a funny position for a long time and not even realize it? I think I haven't moved since typing this post (I tend to get in the zone) and my back hurts!
- I'm wearing a purple mascara on my lower lashes today, but can hardly tell :( I even used a white primer! I'll review my Great Lash colored mascaras on my blog once I try the teal one.
