Must Haves for Peach Lovers!

Hey everyone!
Hope you're having a great week!! Just wanted to share my latest scent obsession-- which you already got a peek at if you saw my latest haul video. First off, peach scents are definitely my jam. There's something so fresh, invigorating, and sweet-but-not-too-sweet about peachy scents. And the more authentic that peach scent is, the better. I've noticed during my many trips to Ulta that The Body Shop's line is always sold out of the Body Butter in Vineyard Peach. But a couple of weeks ago- buried behind a few others (like someone was saving it for themselves? lol), I FOUND PEACH. After one quick whiff of this (and some quick whiffs of the other scents-- I wasn't in a rush!) I realized what the fuss was about!
The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Butter ($20, Ulta.com)
When a scent wins me over, my normally practical attention to cost seems to go out the window. While $20 might seem a bit steep for body lotion, you are getting a whopping 6.7 ounces, which I think it pretty awesome. I love the texture of this, and have it in my nightly rotation of creams (I've been moisturizing my pregnant belly a LOT). While it's thick, it still absorbs nicely and the moisture hangs around for so long! I like to shower at night, and when I use this afterward, go to bed, and get up in the morning... I still feel quite moisturized! And while the intoxicatingly good peach scent isn't as strong as it was at first, it still lingers.
The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Shower Gel ($8, Ulta.com)
Why buy just one peachy product when there's also a shower gel available? Same delicious scent with this one! It lathers up wonderfully and makes the whole shower experience just that much more enjoyable. And get this-- Ulta's website says "peach kernel oil from hand-picked peaches leaves skin feeling soft and smooth." How cool is that? Also, this is a soap-free formula-- and those tend to be less drying on the skin. Love it!

Who else out there is a Vineyard Peach addict? Or are there other Body Shop scents that you think rival this one? Let me know in the comments section! I've been very pleased with these products from The Body Shop... and not having an actual Body Shop store near me-- Ulta is my next best thing for scent-sampling. This brings back a childhood memory- when my sister and I would go shopping (wherever we were- gift shops, drugstores, etc.) we would stop and smell the candles and I remember referring to that as my "aromatherapy". LOL!

Daily Nuggets...
  • As of today, I am 20 weeks pregnant! Halfway there!!
  • We had an appointment yesterday & got to see #babybroadcast on the ultrasound! She was moving around and showing off for us. So cool to see! I'll be vlogging about that soon.
  • Cupcake makes another surprise appearance in today's Beauty Broadcast Express review. She just can't stay away.
  • Big thanks to those of you who told me that Panera's broccoli cheddar soup can be found at Target! I found it in the cooler section & snatched it up!

  6. oh I'm a huge fan on this too, more since i'm pregnant. I've been using the satsuma shower gel consistently for the last 8 years since i discovered the vineyard peach half year ago, which is my new favourite for springtime and summer ( it just put me on happy mood). On winter i use the shea cream shower and bodybutter as it is the most hidrating for my skin ( besides the hemp one that's even more hidrating but doesn't smell really well) and the ppepermint line for feet is AWESOME too: cooling spray for legs on the fridge makes wonders on tired legs & feet and the feet butter smells like peppermint bublegum and works wonders!

  7. I haven't tried the peach yet, I do use the coconut. The coconut scent isn't strong at all, but I do love the lotion. It isn't greasy. Actually I think the Body Shop Butters are my favorite. I will have to try the peach now.

I do know a lot of times there is a kit usually on sale at BodyShop.

  8. Hi Emily. I stocked up yesterday on the Shae Butter and Vitamin E body butter. They have softer scents and not as sweet as the peach, but still divine. They also had handy travel size body butters in our shop here in South Africa. With my 1st pregnancy I was religious about oils and stuff as I am prone to stretch marks. With the 2nd pregnancy I did the body shop body butters and I didn't get a single stretch mark in either pregnancy.

  9. Well, Satsuma is my all-time favourite, but Papaya is close in the competition... I am preparing to use my Vineyard Peach scrub and body butter as soon as I run out of the currently open ones :-)

  20. The coconut scent is nice, also like the rose (not sure if they still do it though!) I have the almond shower gel which they only have available in the UK on the website during sales and in the outlet stores occasionally. I think they discontinued that scent in the body butter and shower gel in normal stores. However the almond hand cream is really nice! I was in there yesterday and smelt the peach it smells yummy! I also noticed a honey scent I hadn't seen before and that smelt really good! The chocomania scent is amazing as well! They are really nice but I resisted because I already have so many body creams and lotions to use up!!

  21. I love The Body Shop's body butters, their scents are always so spot on. Vineyard Peach is definitely one I will have to keep my eye out for when I'm shopping, it sounds like the perfect summer scent. Congrats on the halfway mark! Your announcement video is still my favourite video I think ever, in the history of youtube!

  24. I went to my local mall today and which store happens to be inaugurating today but THE BODY SHOP! Haha I immediately remembered this blog and went to smell the peach body butter. Divine! But I didn't buy it because 10 minutes prior I was at Sephora and received a sample of the Josie Maran whipped argan which smells incredibly similar, maybe a tad mellower. So I´m debating between these two and would appreciate anybody's input. Thanks! BTW I smelled the new honey one and I'm def getting that one!

  32. The peach scent is absolutely delicious. I thought there wasn't going to be anything better until ... they came up with the new raspberry scent. It's even better and the smell lingers a little longer. :)

  33. My favorite is the Satsuma (mandarin orange) scent. Body Shop lotions and creams are definitely better than what you can find in a drug store, both in terms of moisture and the quality of the scent, so I think they're worth the money. The makeup is so-so, I think, but all the skin and scent products are great, IMO. I also am on the email list, and they have sales all the time.

Glad your pregnancy is going well!

  37. I love Body Shop! The new Early-Harvest raspberry one is amazing. I also love the pink grapefruit fragrance.

  38. 20 bucks! Holy moly! The Body Shop usually has buy 2 get 1 free, or something like that. I love their body butters, lotions, oils, body scrubs and home fragrances! I especially like the Shea Nut scents....ahhh bliss. My husband bought me a Shea Nut gift set a couple Christmas's ago and I have since repurchased over and over the body oil and mix it in with my unscented Equate body lotion (the Vaseline brand intensive care knock off).

I have yet to try their makeup products, I did try their eye makeup remover and it sucked! I hate false claims of removing waterproof eye makeup, when it barely takes off regular mascara let alone my Benefit They're Real mascara!
