I tried this also after being bitterly disappointed by the Clinique version and I have to say that the Garnier is WORKING for me as well. I am only putting it on my spots..but they are lighter..and it has been less than a week. Thanks for the review Kelly and Emily!

atrocious experience with Garnier dark spot corrector :( I'm one of the very unlucky ones. It totally demolished my face and brought me back to pre-accutane skin. had to see my derm, who's been helping me get back to normal without taking accutane again, but WHEW. it was an immediate NO NO for me.

Props to her for being pale and proud! I'm also very fair skinned and people are SO RUDE about it. You'd think people knew enough not to comment on the color of people's skin, but apparently those rules don't apply to the pale people. Oh well, we'll be skin cancer free later on!

I've been thinking about trying out a dark spot corrector!! Recently, I've been using pure vitamin E oil and it's worked out well, for those who haven't seen any improvement using correctors =). And considering this is in the drugstore, I'm much more willing to try it out!! Thanks =)

I am super impressed with Pup's dedication. I, too, am very fair-skinned, and have applied daily sunscreen to my face for 10-15 years (I'm 30 now). My friends called me "Casper" (like the friendly ghost) in middle school. I have overheard other girls complain about being "pale" when they are probably at least 5 shades daker than I am. I'm glad to see anyone who is dedicated to protecting their skin when so many people still try to get a tan every year (and on purpose no less). Fair skin is beautiful too! I have a lot of freckles but they don't bother me. However, I do have a new-ish freckle/sunspot on my chest that showed up just in the last 3-4 years. It's not skin cancer; don't worry, I checked! But it does bother me when I wear somthing with a low neck. I'll have to check out the Garnier cream. Thanks for the idea!!! By the way, I enjoy both blogs immensely!

LMAO, like Pup, I am "HARDCORE" with the sunbrella. My friends laugh at me but I don't care. This is an added challenge as I live in Florida. I love creamy white skin ala Karen Elson so much better than a tan. The importance of sunblock daily can not be overrated. Thanks for giving we milky hued girls a shout out.

I too am glow in the dark aka "the china doll". I discovered a "sunspot" on my left upper check this summer. I let it go until the fall when I finally saw a dermatologist. I was prescribed Retin-A 0.025%. Best $25 I have ever spent. It's been about 3 months and I still have 1/3 of the tube left. =))

I use this product on post acne red marks and it works wonders, but it only works if you use it super religiously (and by that, I mean don't skip a single application). I have trouble with stuff that I have to be so dedicated to, but it was worth it. I only used it on my spots, like Pup, and those old marks are completely gone. It's definitely not something you can be wishy-washy about using, but if you are willing to truly commit, you will most likely see results.
