About Beauty Broadcast
Welcome to BeautyBroadcast.net! This is the official blog associated with all things "Beauty Broadcast". Here you'll find all sorts of beauty-related posts, including reviews, how-to's, product recommendations, beauty news, and more! Think of it as the online hub of the Beauty Broadcast family of sites! How did this all begin? In November of 2007, Emily Eddington uploaded her first video to her original YouTube channel, Beauty Broadcast with EmilyNoel83. After years of posting beauty-related reviews and tutorials, that channel is now approaching 700,000 subscribers and has more than 90 million video views.
In addition to Emily's primary channel, she has also created a vlog channel known as BeautyVlogcast for all sorts of non beauty-related content and the Beauty Broadcast LIVE! show, and in the fall of 2013 she launched Beauty Broadcast Express-- a channel created to share quick reviews (less than 5 minutes), focusing on just one product at a time. Emily handles all of the photography, videography, and editing associated with these sites. You'll also find that Emily has a presence on almost every major social network... so stop by and say Hi! :)
Emily's presence in the online beauty community hasn't gone unnoticed. She's been featured in multiple publications including Elle magazine, Self magazine (as shown above), and The New York Times. Her success earned her a spot in YouTube's very first "On the Rise" poll in 2010, which she won thanks to viewer votes. Emily has also had opportunities as a makeup expert on QVC.com! Emily has appeared on affiliates for major TV networks as a beauty expert. Makeup artist to the stars and owner of Mally Beauty, Mally Roncal, also discovered Beauty Broadcast, and invited Emily to learn her techniques first hand at an event for beauty bloggers in New York City. Beauty brand Sigma hosted a meet & greet for Emily at their Mall of America store in Minneapolis where Emily got to meet hundreds of viewers.
Emily Eddington is a small-town girl, originally from west-central Illinois. She's a 2006 graduate of Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois with a Bachelor's degree in communication and a concentration in media. After marrying her high school sweetheart, Tyler, in August of 2006, the two began the adventure of a lifetime, moving away from home so Tyler could begin law school and Emily could pursue a job in TV broadcasting. Emily started as a part-time associate producer at WSIL-TV, an ABC affiliate in southern Illinois. She was then promoted to producer, reporter, weekend anchor, and eventually co-anchor of the station's morning show, News 3 This Morning. In 2011, Emily was named "Best Anchor" in the state of Illinois by the Illinois Broadcasters Association. As Emily's broadcasting career grew, so did her "after-work activity", Beauty Broadcast. Emily started it about a year into her news career, and continued handling both for the next 5 years. Emily's efforts with all things Beauty Broadcast became so successful that she decided to step away from the news and make Beauty Broadcast her full-time focus in December of 2012. There are more details on that decision in (you guessed it) a video- titled A New Chapter on her vlog channel.
Tyler is an attorney in southern Illinois and you can see him make weekly appearances on Beauty Broadcast Express, focusing on the more manly side of reviews... a.k.a. #tydayfriday :) If you have a review idea for Tyler, feel free to send him a tweet!
And of course, who could forget Cupcake? She's the official "assistant" of Beauty Broadcast. You may see her (or hear her!) from time to time in videos, on the blog, or on Instagram!
On September 21, 2014, Tyler and Emily welcomed the newest member to the Beauty Broadcast family! While baby Belle Violet loves rolling around on the floor and watching Cupcake play, she also likes getting her hands on some of mommy's toys :)
